Early Interventions + Youth Pastoral Care

Reference form

Across the UK, many children face significant challenges that can leave families feeling overwhelmed. Issues such as poverty, bereavement, family breakdown, abuse, or time in the care system can greatly impact a child’s wellbeing. Some children may struggle with low confidence, have Special Educational Needs (SEN), experience bullying, lack positive role models, or simply need a trusted adult to listen and support them. This is why SAMS volunteers play an important role in supporting children and young people.

We are looking for individuals who are good listeners, adaptable, respectful, and able to build positive relationships. Volunteers will spend up to one hour each week in a one-to-one setting with a child or young person, engaging in activities and building trust.
