SAMS is in the process of becoming a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) and so in the meantime, we are partnered with Community Churches Connected (CCC) who are a registered charity.
Any donations received are collected by CCC and used to support the ongoing work that SAMS is committed to doing through the work of Sam Dunn, the Children and Youth Community Pastor for Community Church Tadley and employed by Community Churches Connected.
The generous donations received from our supporters are used to support the resources needed for SAMS to carry out it’s mission, build awareness of our work and contribute towards salary costs. -
SAMS takes safeguarding extremely seriously to ensure the protection of its beneficiaries as well as our volunteers. All volunteers are DBS checked through the schools that they’re supporting and are committed and trained in safeguarding children to a level 2 standard as a minimum. Volunteers are then required to follow school safeguarding policies and procedures.
SAMS is attached to Community Church Tadley requiring that outside of school settings it follows the same procedures and policies that are in place through Community Church Tadley and its umbrella organisation - Basingstoke Community Churches.
You can view the safeguarding policy for Basingstoke Community Churches here. -
Children are referred to by SAMS through local schools that SAMS is supporting. There are referral processes that are followed and in some cases, there are extensive questionnaires that take place with teachers, parents and the student themselves.

SAMS is partnered with Community Church Tadley and through the work of their children and youth community pastor - Sam Dunn.
Although SAMS is a Christian organisation and built on Christian principles, the one-to-one sessions and time with students are not faith related unless questions from the students themselves arise,. Volunteers can give their opinions on matters and talk about aspects of their faith if it’s relevant to the question.
