Compassionate Communities

Interventions will never be enough to fix the mental health crisis. We need a cultural movement of compassion that will lead to generational change and healing.

Evidence shows that compassion has a huge impact on people’s well-being. Tadley has the chance to become a community with compassion at it’s core. Lead and created by those who it will affect most in the years to come - our children.

SAMS is passionate to see justice in the lives of children and youth and is working to see that same passion reflected by businesses, organisations and schools. There is a vital role for these groups to integrate compassion, starting at the grass roots level of childhood, to spread throughout our community. We’re keen to form these partnerships to see it happen!

SAMS is supporting 4 primary schools with groups of children (compassionate change makers) across four primary schools to learn what compassion is, why it’s important and how to embed it within their culture. We’re working with staff and children to discover their needs and deliver compassionate projects within their schools and wider communities, initiating positive impact.
