Meet the team
Sam Dunn
Hey! I’ve been working as a children and youth community pastor since Jan 2022 and I’m so passionate about the children and youth within our community. I’m supporting 5 schools and coach many children each week supporting their mental and emotional well-being. Through my work I now have the potential to interact with close to 1000 students each week helping students and sharing hope.
I’m married to Meg and we have a daughter called Willow + a dog, Annie. We’re local people with a huge heart to help those in need. My desire is to see children and youth in Tadley discover hope, be ignited by justice and be shown as well as show compassion to those around them. That’s why we’ve created SAMS and I’m so grateful to those joining and supporting the journey.
Prior to my work here I worked as the Events Coordinator for 5 years before moving into the Ambassador Manager for a large children’s charity - Compassion UK.

I’m married to Marian and we’ve loved raising 3 amazing daughters, seeing them marry wonderful husbands, and delight in being grandparents to 2 gorgeous granddaughters.
Over the last decade my focus has been drawn to supporting charities and schools, with a focus on seeing children’s emotional and mental wellbeing improve.
This led to Marian and I to Tadley in 2022 to lead Community Church Tadley and our work with the community. We love being here and all the opportunities it has opened up to serve and help make a difference. This includes mentoring in schools with SAMS and helping to lead the Tadley Wellbeing Forum with a vision to see a more connected, compassionate community. My heart is to see a generational improvement in health and wellbeing and to help inspire, enable and equip people and organisations to navigate and lead this change.
You may also find me enjoying the countryside; walking or mountain biking, at the allotment or making sourdough breads, sausage rolls and ketchup sauces.

Born and brought up in Wiltshire, I have now lived in Tadley for 35 years, having served as a teacher and headteacher locally for all of my career.
I am a proud mum to a grown up son and daughter and an equally proud Granny to a young grandson. I enjoy reading, walking and cooking and, most of all, spending time with family and friends.
SAMS is working with our school and the team has become an integral part of our team. Our children light up when they see Sam (founder). The Trusting relationships SAMS has built with our children is so impactful, particularly for our most vulnerable.

I grew up in the Tadley area and following a university jaunt in Loughborough and a year in Australia I am now back where in the town I love! I am married to Rachel, and our two girls Evalyn and Imogen attend Tadley Primary School. I have been great friends with Sam most of my life given we were neighbours as kids. Sam’s passion for life and people inspires me to see SAMS make as much of a positive impact in the lives of this generation, and many to come. I am a firm believer in the power of conversation and community and how this breaks down walls of fear and insecurity. SAMS will be a catalyst for change in many lives in Tadley.

I lived in Tadley for 33 years before moving to Kingsclere in 2022. I'm married to Claire and have 3 lovely children (one of whom is Sam) and 5 wonderful grandchildren (at the latest count!).
As well as being actively involved in Community Church Tadley, I lead a local business that is intent on impacting our community for good and just love the work that Sam and the team are doing and the significant impact SAMS has on the young lives of those it touches.
